eight arms ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Face Guard Video mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

1. Overview

Face Guard Video is a video face masking app that detects and tracks faces in user-selected videos, then applies privacy masks such as mosaic, blur, emoji, or custom stamps. The App is designed with privacy as a core principle: all video processing is performed on your device.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Videos and images: Videos you select are processed on your device using Apple's Vision framework. We never upload your videos or extracted frames to any server.
• Personal information: We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal information through the App.
• Usage analytics: We do not use analytics services to track how you use the App. The App does not bundle any advertising, analytics, or crash reporting SDKs.

3. Face Data

3.1 What Face Data We Process

The App uses Apple's Vision framework (VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest) to detect face bounding box coordinates in video frames. The App does not perform facial recognition, biometric identification, identity matching, or age estimation. No third-party machine learning models are bundled.

3.2 How Face Data Is Used

Face bounding box coordinates and tracking results are used only to display editable mask targets and to render visual masks onto the exported video.

3.3 Data Sharing

Face data is not shared with us or any third party. Face detection, tracking, editing, and export processing all occur on your device. Face data is never transmitted over the network.

3.4 Temporary Files and Retention

The App may create temporary local copies of selected videos and exported videos while importing, editing, or saving. These temporary files are used only to complete the selected workflow and are removed when the workflow ends, when you cancel, or when the operating system clears temporary storage. Face tracking data is held only for the active editing session and is not stored persistently. Exported videos are flattened: masks are burned into the pixels of the saved video.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time Pro upgrade through Apple's App Store. Purchase transactions are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store payment information.

5. Device Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

• Photo Library (read): To select videos for face masking.
• Photo Library (write): To save processed videos to your photo library.

These permissions are used only for the stated purposes and can be changed in your device settings.

6. Data Security

Since video processing occurs on your device and videos are not uploaded to our servers, we do not maintain a server-side copy of your videos or face data. Exported videos have masks permanently rendered into the video frames.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-purpose privacy tool that helps mask faces in videos. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any users, including children, through the App. All processing happens on-device.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
